Abstract:
Provided is a surface acoustic wave device, whereby manufacturing steps can be simplified and cost can be reduced.
This surface acoustic wave device is provided with, on a substrate: functional electrode sections (2, 3) having at least one IDT electrode; wiring electrodes (4, 7) connected to the functional electrode sections (2, 3); insulating films (5, 6) that are provided between the wiring electrode (4) and the substrate; and a supporting member (8) that is provided to surround at least a part of the functional electrode sections (2, 3) and the wiring electrodes (4, 7). The thickness of the supporting member (8) is more than the thicknesses of the insulating films (5, 6), and the insulating films (5, 6) and the supporting member (8) are formed of a same material.
