Abstract:
The invention provides a surface protection sheet in which the outermost surface of a base layer is roughened enough so that any foreign body present between the surface protection sheet and an adherend will not protrude, and in which adequate and appropriate adhesive strength can be achieved whether the surface of the adherend is smooth or rough. This surface protection sheet contains a white base layer, a black base layer, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the stated order. The white base layer constitutes the outermost layer. The surface roughness (Ra) of the outermost surface of the white base layer is 0.30 μm or greater, and the 60°-gloss surface glossiness of the outermost surface of the white base layer is 65 or less. Another surface protection sheet of the invention contains a white base layer, a black base layer, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the stated order. The white base layer constitutes the outermost layer. The surface roughness (Ra) of the outermost surface of the white base layer is 0.30 μm or greater, the surface waviness (Wa) of the outermost surface of the white base layer is 0.40-0.60 μm, and the 60°-gloss surface glossiness of the of the outermost surface of the white base layer is 65 or less.
