Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a surface sheet for an absorbent article which has improved liquid permeability to enable a bodily fluid having reached the surface sheet to be efficiently absorbed in an absorbent while dispersing the bodily fluid widely; and an absorbent article using the same. This surface sheet for an absorbent article is a monolayer non-woven fabric. The non-woven fabric has an average density of 0.010-0.040 g/cm3. A continuous linear recess or multiple spot-like recesses adjacent to one another is/are formed on the surface of the non-woven fabric. The side wall part of each recess has a stepwise shape with at least two steps.
