The present application provides a surgical instrument protection apparatus, a surgical instrument, a mounting portion, and a surgical instrument assembly. The surgical instrument protection apparatus comprises: a forced protection unit and a counting unit; the forced protection unit has a first state and a second state, when the forced protection unit is in the first state, the surgical instrument is allowed to be mounted on the mounting portion, and when the forced protection unit is in the second state, the surgical instrument is prohibited from being remounted on the mounting portion; the counting unit is used for obtaining the service life of the surgical instrument, and sending a driving signal to an external power unit when the service life of the surgical instrument reaches a limit value; and then the forced protection unit is switched from the first state to the second state under the drive of the power unit. Thus, when the service life of the surgical instrument reaches the limit value, the forced protection unit is switched from the first state to the second state, thereby prohibiting the surgical instrument from being remounted for use.
