Abstract:
A surgical instrument comprising: an insertion section capable of being inserted inside a body; a first jaw and a second jaw that are provided in a distal end section of the insertion section and which grip tissue; a suturing unit that sutures tissue held by the first jaw and the second jaw; a cutting unit that cuts tissue inside a suturing area in which tissue among the tissue gripped by the first jaw and the second jaw has been sutured by the suturing unit; and a pulling member that has a first engagement part and a second engagement part, is arranged on at least either the first jaw or the second jaw, can be connected to the suturing area by the suturing unit, and which protrudes outside the suturing area after being connected to the suturing area.
