Abstract:
Provided is a suspension vehicle capable of maintaining both occupant comfort and roadholding performance during a turn while also enabling utilization of the suspension vehicle potential. This vehicle 1 comprises: a power source 7; three or more wheels 2; a suspension 3 which suspendingly supports the wheels 2; a chassis 4 which supports the power source 7 and the suspension 3 and rolls with the motion of the suspension 3 when the vehicle turns, placing the upper portion of the chassis 4 outward of the lower portion thereof vis-à-vis the turn; and a cabin 5 that includes a seat 22 for a vehicle occupant D to sit on and is supported by the chassis 4. During a turn, the cabin 5 tilts the vehicle occupant D relative to the chassis 4 about a tilt axis Q1 along the fore-aft direction of the chassis 4 and is disposed higher, in terms of the vertical direction of the chassis 4, than the center of gravity of the vehicle so as to apply a force that presses the occupant D onto the seat 22 with the gluteal region of the occupant D placed outward of the head region thereof vis-à-vis the turn, atop the chassis 4 which rolls towards the outside of the turn.
