Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a suture device for an endoscope, the suture device being configured so that a suture thread will be unlikely to become dislodged from the suture device when inserting the suture device into a body.
The present invention provides a suture device (10) inserted into and used in a body while being mounted to an endoscope. Engagement members (21) capable of engaging with a needle-like member (14) are respectively accommodated within needle insertion sections (16a1, 16a2) in an axially removable manner. The pair of engagement members (21) respectively accommodated within the needle insertion sections (16a1, 16a2) are connected to each other by a suture thread (22). In order to prevent each of the engagement members (21) from becoming dislodged from a needle insertion section (16a1, 16a2), the engagement member (21) is retained by a retention member (30) until the needle member (14) is inserted into the needle insertion section (16a1, 16a2).
