Abstract:
A swallowing analysis system (S) is provided with a swallowing sensor (1) and a swallowing analysis device (30). A piezoelectric film sensor (3) of the swallowing sensor (1) has a plurality of sensing parts (3A), (3B) disposed in the longitudinal direction of the neck. The piezoelectric film sensor (3) is attached to the skin of the anterior neck (102) so as to be positioned within the range of motion of the thyroid cartilage (103) generated in association with swallowing, and individually outputs analog signals (S1a), (S2a) incidental to the deformation of the sensing parts (3A), (3B). On the basis of displacement signals which are respectively composed of low frequency components of the analog signals (S1a), (S2a), a body part (20) of the swallowing sensor (1) determines whether or not swallowing is taking place. The body part (20) extracts data of signals generated during swallowing and wirelessly outputs the extracted data to the swallowing analysis device (30).
