Abstract:
A switch device 1 comprises: an operating knob 10 which receives a switch operation performed with respect to a plurality of apparatuses to be controlled; a detecting electrode (20R, 20C, 20L) mounted to the operating knob 10 and serving as a detecting unit to detect an operation position of the operating knob 10; a housing 30 displaceably supporting the operating knob 10; and a control unit 60 which, in accordance with the operation position detected by the detecting electrode (20R, 20C, 20L), controls at least one of the plurality of apparatuses to be controlled. The control unit 60, in accordance with a state of displacement of the operating knob 10, identifies at least one apparatus to be controlled. The switch device 1 is configured to perform open/close control for a rear-seat window when the position of the housing 30 supporting the operating knob 10 has been moved toward the vehicle rear and is in a rearwardly moved state. Thus, with the single operating knob 10, it is possible to perform open/close operations for the right and left windows for the front and rear seats, enabling a decrease in the size of the switch device.
