Abstract:
A switch device (1) comprises: an electroconductive unit 30 that receives a touch operation from a user; an operation knob 10 that is configured to be moveable; a counter electrode 40 that is integrally moveable with the operation knob 10 and is electrically connected to the electroconductive unit 30 of the operation knob 10; a substrate 70 which has a detection electrode 71 that opposes the counter electrode 40 in a non-contact manner and that capacitively couples therewith; and a control unit 80 that performs detection control by detecting, through the capacitive coupling between the counter electrode 40 and the detection electrode 71, a change in the capacitance according to the touch operation performed on the electroconductive unit 30.
