Abstract:
Disclosed is a system for a home gateway to recognize the type of access device using a cloud platform, relating to the field of home gateway recognition. When a home gateway cannot recognize information about a device type corresponding to a source MAC, the system queries a recognition platform; if the recognition platform does not have corresponding information, the home gateway captures a feature value data packet sent by the source MAC device for the analysis of the recognition platform; and if the recognition platform cannot analyse the device type corresponding to the source MAC, the home gateway captures a feature value data field sent by the source MAC device again, until the recognition platform can analyse the type of access device. The feature value data field may be, but is not limited to, a User-Agent field in an HTTP data packet when being specifically implemented. The present invention can accurately recognize the type of access device, can not only better manage a hanging device of a home gateway, enriching a related interaction application scene, but can also ensure the forwarding performance of the home gateway.
