Abstract:

Provided in the embodiments of the present invention is a system message receiving method, which is applied to a user equipment, the method comprising: determining a cell corresponding to a system message which needs to be acquired; transmitting to a base station a request message requesting the system message of the cell, wherein the request message comprises indication information of the cell; and receiving the system message of the cell transmitted by the base station. According to the embodiments of the present invention, user equipment sends a request message comprising indication information of a cell to a base station, and thus the base station may determine from which cell the user equipment needs to acquire a system message and transmits the corresponding system message of the corresponding cell to the user equipment, ensuring that the system messages that may be acquired by the user equipment are not restricted, and thereby preventing the user equipment from being unable to carry out a certain service due to the user equipment being unable to acquire the required system message.
