Abstract:

[Problem] Amid the recent halting of power generation in various regions stemming from the nuclear reactor accident precipitated by the Great East Japan Earthquake, power companies are being driven to overcome this difficult power-supply situation. However, it is not certain that power consumers will adopt energy-conservation measures in accordance with the current power-supply system. [Solution] Proposed is an energy-conservation apparatus, and the like, having: an energy-consumption-acquiring unit for acquiring the amount of energy consumed by a plurality of electrical devices; a target-demand-value-holding unit for holding a target demand value that is a target value for energy consumption; a supply-reserve-index-acquiring unit for acquiring a supply-reserve index showing a power-supply reserve based on power companies coordinating jurisdiction within a region in a fixed range; and a control unit for controlling the plurality of electrical devices on the basis of the acquired supply-reserve index, the acquired energy-consumption amount, and the held target demand value.
