Title:
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TREATING MERCURY IN FLUE GAS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/179462
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This system for treating mercury in flue gas removes mercury contained within flue gas (12A) from a boiler (11), said system comprising: a denitration device (17) which removes nitrogen oxide (NOx) within flue gas (12A) from the boiler (11); an air heater (18) which is provided on the downstream side of the denitration device (17) and adjusts the flue gas temperature (to 130°C); a heat exchanger (19) which is provided on the downstream side of the air heater (18) and further reduces the temperature-controlled flue gas (to 90°C); a wet-type desulfurization device (21) which is provided on the downstream side of the heat exchanger (19) and removes sulfur oxide (SOx) within the flue gas; a mercury adsorbent supply device (24) which is provided either at the front or rear of the wet-type desulfurization device (21) and supplies a mercury adsorbent to the flue gas (12D); and a dust collector (20) for collecting the mercury adsorbent to which mercury within the flue gas (12D) has been adsorbed.
