Description:
A SYSTEM FOR RETURNING CALLS BY MULTIMEDIA MESSAGE IN INSTANT MESSAGING APPLICATIONS

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a system which enables users of instant messaging application to answer calls they receives over application with a multimedia message that maybe voice, video or animation under time, location, state conditions specified by them or regardless of any term.

Background of the Invention Application stores and applications which are presented at application stores - predominantly the ones made by companies who produce smart device and operating system- increase with each passing day today. As the frequency of use of these applications being used on smart devices increase, solutions occur in different fields our lives. Instant messaging applications are among the most used applications being used on smart devices. Users can send messages comprising writing, sound, image by communicating with each other over instant messaging applications and they can also receive messages of the same type from other persons as well. Today, users of instant messaging applications cannot always answer the calls received. Some of the reasons for not being able to answer these calls may result from the fact that the users are busy, they cannot answer the call or the quality of internet service is poor. Therefore, today there is need for a system which enables to return message with multimedia content automatically to calls under conditions to be determined by instant messaging applications. The United States patent document no. US7124123 discloses an instant messaging system which receives messages when the user is away. The system can be made for programs such as e-mail, instant messaging programs, computer-assisted telephone calls (VoIP) and the response system is BOT software supported. Calls can be realized as electronic mail, audio or video file, text file. The system detects the times when the user is offline, gives automatic answer at that time interval and informs the other party about the estimated time when the user may be online. Also, the calendar information is entered to the system and the holiday times can be noted particularly.

Summary of the Invention

An objective of the present invention is to realize a system which enables users of instant messaging application to answer calls they receives over application with a multimedia message that maybe voice, video or animation under time, location, state conditions specified by them or regardless of any term.

Another objective of the present invention is to realize a system which enables to answer calls in instant messaging applications automatically as multimedia message by means of hot.

Detailed Description of the Invention

“A System for Returning Calls by Multimedia Message in Instant Messaging Applications” realized to fulfil the objective of the present invention is shown in the figure attached, in which:

Figure 1 is a schematic view of the inventive system for enabling to return calls by multimedia message in instant messaging applications. The components illustrated in the figure are individually numbered, where the numbers refer to the following:

1. System

2. Electronic device

3. Instant messaging application

4. Response server

5. Application server

The inventive system (1) for returning calls by multimedia message comprises:

at least one electronic device (2) which can run at least one application on it; can establish connection with communication networks; and enables to establish communication with at least one input unit;

at least one instant messaging application (3) which runs on the electronic device (2); creates the infrastructure necessary for the user to use various hots and services over the electronic device (2); is configured such that the users can manage the hot and service permissions and return incoming calls automatically with multimedia message content; and whereby users can determine under which conditions the calls are answered and content of the message to be answered;

at least one automatic response server (4) which is in communication with the instant messaging application (3); wherein conditions of call answering and message contents determined in the instant messaging application (3) are kept; and

at least one application server (5) which is in communication with the instant messaging application (3) and the automatic response server (4); controls whether there is a predefined automatic response content for call or not by transmitting a call request to the automatic response server (4) upon a call is started from the instant messaging application (3) to another instant messaging application (3); in the event that there is no automatic response content, establishes the call in the called instant messaging application (3); in the event that there is an automatic response content, transmits the multimedia message content to the instant messaging application (3).

The electronic device (2) included in the inventive system (1) is a device which is used by a user in order to decide on conditions when s/he requests the incoming calls to be answered automatically and multimedia content of the automatic response content in the instant messaging application (3). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the electronic device (2) is a smartphone, tablet computer or computer and configured such that it run an instant messaging application (3) whereby the user can make definition of condition and multimedia message content by means of an input unit.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the instant messaging application (3) is a unit wherein it is determined by users which calls will be answered automatically and the automatic multimedia messages to be given at time, location, state conditions or unconditionally for the received calls are determined. Over the instant messaging application (3), the user defines whether to send a multimedia message to a calling party or not at a specific location, a specific time interval, a specific Internet condition or without specifying any condition. Users make definition of at least one of photo, video, audio file, CAPS or person/contact information over the instant messaging application (3). Answers to be given by users over the instant messaging application (3) are determined such that they are specific to a person and/all users.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, content of an automatic answer to be given by the instant messaging application (3) is created by means of hot included within an application. It is decided on in the instant messaging application (3) which calls will be answered, what will be included in the content of the message to be given, who will be answered, under which conditions to answer and whether to add text to the message content upon the user and the bot communicate reciprocally.

The instant messaging application (3) shares the opening information of the bot with the automatic response server (4) upon the bot is opened, and transmits the information of giving automatic answer for which calls -that it receives from the user- to the automatic response server (4). The instant messaging application (3) transmits the user selections made over it, to the automatic response server (4). After this transaction, the automatic response server (4) requests the user not to determine the criteria and saves the criteria written to the bot by the user. Thereby, the automatic response server (4) shares the information that the automatic response is prepared, with the user over the instant messaging application (3).

In an exemplary bot correspondence, first of all the bot asks the user for which calls automatic response is requested and following the selection information received from the user, it queries which persons will be automatically answered. The user can select either everyone or it can make a person-based selection from an opening screen. Then, the user decides on under which conditions an automatic response will be given and creates the content of the response to be given that will be photo, audio, CAPS, contact. Lastly, the user makes text description if s/he wants to add response to the message.

In the inventive system (1), the automatic response server (4) is a unit wherein the process of answering the automatic call determined in the instant messaging application (3) is kept and in the event that the a call is initiated from the instant messaging application (3), the application server (5) searches answer for the question of whether to give automatic answer and if so, with which content the caller will be returned. The automatic response server (4) receives the request over the application server (5) upon the user of an instant messaging application (3) calls the user of another instant messaging application (3). The automatic response server (4) queries whether there is an automatic response record defined on it by using the call request received over the application server (5). The automatic response server (4) returns the multimedia message content determined on the instant messaging application (3) to the instant messaging application (3) initiating the call as return, in the event that there is an automatic response record. The automatic response server (4) allows the instant messaging application (3) to establish call, in the event that there is no automatic response record.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the application server (5) receives the protocol messages for establishing call from the instant messaging application (3) upon the call is initiated and queries whether there is an automatic response belonging to the called party to the automatic response server (4) or not. The application server (5) sends the multimedia message to the instant messaging application (3) towards the calling party in the event that appropriate criteria are provided. Thereby, the user who receives the multimedia message content from the instant messaging application (3) and initiates the call is informed about the related state why the call cannot be answered.

With the inventive system (1), users of instant messaging application (3) are enabled to answer calls they receives over application via a multimedia message with voice, video or animation regardless of any time, location, state unconditionally.

Within these basic concepts; it is possible to develop various embodiments of the inventive system for returning calls by multimedia message in instant messaging applications (1); the invention cannot be limited to examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to claims.
