Abstract:
Information on, for example, a commodity provided for value can be simply searched for on the Web. A robot (1) searches Websites to acquire source codes of Webpages, and a price character string searching engine (3) extracts Webpages containing prices by searching the source codes of the acquired Webpages. A keyword search engine (5) searches the extracted Webpages for commodity sale (E-commerce and auction) Webpages. Index searching means (7) extract commodity or service names and their prices as indexes from the Webpages, and stores them in an index database (8) after relating them to the URLs of the Webpages. A user search service engine (9) provides a search Webpage on the Web and posts commodity or service names and their prices linked to the corresponding Webpages in accordance with input information.
