Abstract:

The embodiments of the invention provide a timing advance (TA) acquisition method and device. The method comprises: a base station generates an indication message and transmits the same to user equipment (UE); and UE receives the indication message transmitted by the base station, and acquires, according to the indication message, a TA value of a second carrier, the second carrier being a carrier not used for PUSCH transmission. The TA acquisition method provided by the embodiments of the invention is utilized to acquire the TA value of the second carrier, even though the second carrier is not a carrier used in PUSCH transmission.
