Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a tactile-sensation-imparting device in which a tactile-sensation-imparting knob 3 is placed on an operation surface and a tactile sensation is presented to a user via the tactile-sensation-imparting knob 3. The tactile-sensation-imparting knob 3 is provided with an electroconductive elastic part 6 having a surface layer 61 facing the operation surface and an inner layer 62 on the side opposite from the operation surface, and an operation part 4 to which the electroconductive elastic part is fixed. The surface layer 61 is designed so as to have greater shear deformation due to the operation of the tactile-sensation-imparting knob 3 than the inner layer 62, generate vibration due to changes in frictional force, and have greater compression deformation when the tactile-sensation-imparting knob 3 is pushed than the inner layer 62. The inner layer 62 is designed so as to have a higher vibration transmission rate than the surface layer 61.
