Abstract:
A tapered roller bearing (1) comprises: an inner race (2); an outer race (3); a plurality of tapered rollers (4) that come into rolling contact with an inner raceway (21) and an outer raceway (31); and an annular retainer (5A) which has a plurality of pockets (9) for accommodating the tapered rollers (4). The plurality of pockets (9) include at least two pockets (9A, 9B) of mutually different structures. A tapered roller bearing and a retainer according to the present disclosure enable facilitating the fabrication of a set consisting of the retainer and a plurality of tapered rollers with an inner race, and further make an inner race unit consisting of the aforementioned set and the inner race less likely to disintegrate.
