Abstract:
Provided is a capped double-row tapered roller bearing configured to be able to effectively deter water from seeping into the interior of the bearing from a butted part of an inner ring. The inner periphery of an intermediate seal (21) is provided with a main lip (24) elastically brought into contact with an outside-diameter surface of a faucet joint part (16), the surface roughness (Ra) of a seal sliding surface of the faucet joint part (16) with which the main lip (24) elastically comes into contact being 1.2 µm or less. The relationship α > β is satisfied, where α denotes the contact angle of a bearing outer-side surface (f1) with respect to the seal sliding surface of the main lip (24) and β denotes the contact angle of a bearing inner-side surface (f2), and because of the difference in the angles, a fluid flows from the bearing interior to the bearing exterior in the seal sliding surface when the inner ring rotates.
