Abstract:
The present invention provides a temperature adjustment mechanism 1 for a vehicle which is provided with a pump for battery 15 and circulation passages 11-13 and which adjusts the temperature of a battery 2 chargeable from an external power source outside the vehicle within a prescribed temperature range, the temperature adjustment mechanism 1 comprising a thermally-insulated vacuum tank 40 in which either one of cold water generated by a cold source created through the consumption of energy or hot water heated by a hot source created through the consumption of energy is stored depending on an atmospheric temperature Ta while the battery 2 is charged from the external power source, the temperature adjustment mechanism 1 being configured such that, during input or output of power to or from the battery 2 other than charge from the external power source, the thermally-insulated vacuum tank 40 is connected to the circulation passages 11-13 and the cold water or hot water stored in the thermally-insulated vacuum tank 40 is supplied to the battery 2 by driving the pump for battery 15, thereby keeping the battery temperature Tb within the temperature range.
