Abstract:
This terminal includes a receiving unit for receiving system information including information pertaining to a random access procedure from a base station, a control unit for selecting a resource to be used for random access, on the basis of the information pertaining to the random access procedure and the type of the device itself, and a transmitting unit for transmitting a random access preamble to the base station using the selected resource, wherein the type of the device itself is a terminal type having reduced functions or a terminal type having enhanced coverage.
