Abstract:
One provided embodiment relates to a terminal for enabling a user to easily search for and execute an application and a method for controlling the terminal, and the method for controlling the terminal can be provided by comprising the steps of: displaying a first output screen including a screen of a random application; receiving a first gesture; displaying a second output screen including a keyboard interface according to the received first gesture; receiving a search word through the keyboard interface; displaying a third output screen including a list of applications searched by using the received search word; receiving a second gesture; and executing at least one application among the searched applications according to the received second gesture.
