Abstract:
The present invention relates to a terminal state-based firmware upgrade method. The method comprises: S10: a terminal actively or passively triggers a cloud to check whether matching upgrade package information is present; S20: if present, resource information of the terminal is obtained and it is determines whether the resource information of the terminal meets resource requirements required by an upgrade package; S30: if so, the upgrade package is downloaded, otherwise, a new upgrade package is regenerated according to the resource information of the terminal and is downloaded; S40: according to verification information in the downloaded upgrade package, it is determined whether a source version matches the new upgrade package; and S50: if so, the upgrade is executed and an upgrade result is reported to the cloud, otherwise, the upgrade result is reported directly to the cloud. In the present invention, according to the greatest extent of resource usage of the terminal, a prediction of the idleness of terminal resources during an upgrade may be provided and fed back to the cloud to make a corresponding upgrade package, which either speeds up the upgrade process or reduces the size of the upgrade package, thereby reducing storage space occupation so that a terminal with strained resources may also successfully execute an upgrade, thus further improving the user experience.
