Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a therapeutic agent for traumatic neuropathy and/or movement disorder, particularly a therapeutic agent for traumatic neuropathy and/or movement disorder caused by spinal cord injury. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] It is found that a keratan sulfate oligosaccharide or a derivative thereof has an ameliorative effect on traumatic neuropathy and/or movement disorder caused by spinal cord injury and therefore is useful as a therapeutic agent for traumatic neuropathy and/or movement disorder. Thus, provided is a therapeutic agent for traumatic neuropathy and/or movement disorder, wherein the therapeutic agent comprises an effective amount of a keratan sulfate oligosaccharide or a derivative thereof.
