Title:
THERMAL HEAD, AND THERMAL PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/058264
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a thermal head wherein it is possible to reduce the likelihood of a conductor layer peeling off. To also provide a thermal printer. [Solution] A thermal head (X1) is provided with a substrate (31), a heat generating part (34) disposed on the substrate (31) and formed by arranging a plurality of heat generating elements (34a), a first coating layer (42) disposed on the substrate (31) between the heat generating unit (34) and a connection region disposed on the substrate (31) away from the heat generating part (34), and a first conductor layer (36) of which one end (36a) is electrically connected to the heat generating elements (34a) and the other end (36b) is guided from the side of the connection region (35) toward the side of the heat generating part (34) and is electrically coupled to an external connection terminal (52a) at the connection region (35) via a conductive member (7), wherein the other end (36b) of the first conductor layer (36) is sandwiched between the substrate (31) and the first coating layer (42).
