Abstract:
A thermal transfer printing device is provided with: a first supply unit (70) that supplies an intermediate transfer medium (10) in which a receiving layer is provided on one surface of a support body; a second supply unit (51) that supplies a thermal transfer sheet (20) in which a color material layer is provided on one surface of a base material; a printing unit (50) that heats the thermal transfer sheet (20) on the basis of image data and transfers ink of the color material layer onto the receiving layer to print an image; and a transfer unit (60) that transfers at least a partial layer of the intermediate transfer medium (10) including the receiving layer on which the image has been printed onto a body (40) to be transferred. The printing unit (50) prints an image for each of divided regions obtained by dividing the intermediate transfer medium (10) into a plurality of regions in a widthwise direction.
