Abstract:
Provided are a thermostat device with which housing members constituting a housing can be easily assembled and cost incurred by manufacturing can be reduced, and a method for manufacturing the thermostat device. This thermostat device is provided with a housing 1, a thermo element 17 that moves in an axial direction in accordance with the temperature of a coolant, a valve body 15 that is caused by the movement of the thermo element to move toward and away from a valve seat 20b provided to the inner side of the housing and open and close a communication section between a first flow-through port 21 and a second flow-through port 7, and biasing member 16 that biases the valve body toward the valve seat. The housing is provided with a main body section 20, a first housing member 2 having the first flow-through port and the second flow-through port, and a second housing member 3 that has the third flow-through port 22 and that is fastened to the first housing member by rotating in a circumferential direction in relation to the first housing member.
