Title:
THIN-FILM SUPERCONDUCTING WIRE ROD AND SUPERCONDUCTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/064284
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This invention provides the following: a thin-film superconducting wire rod whereby, without an excessively thick stabilizing layer being formed along the entire circumference of said thin-film superconducting wire rod, the current range within which a superconducting device can be used stably is sufficiently large even if the flatness of the side surfaces of the thin-film superconducting wire rod has degraded; and a superconducting device using said thin-film superconducting wire rod. This thin-film superconducting wire rod comprises the following: a main thin-film superconducting wire rod body comprising a thin-film superconducting layer provided on an elongated metal substrate; and a stabilizing layer formed along the circumference of the main thin-film superconducting wire rod body. The stabilizing layer is thicker on the thin-film-superconducting-layer side than on the metal-substrate side.
