Abstract:
Provided is a reduction device comprising: an acquisition unit; a recognition unit; a division unit; and a reduction processing unit. The acquisition unit acquires shape data to be reduced. The recognition unit recognizes the type of object on the basis of the shape data acquired by the acquisition unit. The division unit divides the shape data into a plurality of sub-sets, each corresponding to a plurality of parts constituting the object, on the basis of the type of object recognized by the recognition unit. The reduction processing unit determines a data reduction amount of a sub-set corresponding to each of the plurality of parts on the basis of a parts table having reduction information representing a data reduction amount of each of the plurality of sub-sets corresponding to a plurality of reference parts and reduces the amount of data of the shape data.
