Abstract:
A timing method for discontinuous transmission and a relevant device, which are used for solving the problem of uplink synchronization of discontinuous transmission of a UE. The method comprises: a UE determining a duration from time zero to a time when it needs to transmit an uplink signal; the UE determining the attribute of a dedicated physical control channel (DPCCH) preamble corresponding to the uplink signal needing to be transmitted according to the duration from the time zero and a pre-set threshold; and the UE transmitting the DPCCH preamble according to the determined attribute of the DPCCH preamble.
