Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a tire exhibiting high grip performance and small rolling resistance. The present invention is a tire having tread which exhibits a prescribed loss tangent. The loss tangent exhibited by a test piece, having the same composition as the composition of the rubber which constitutes the tread, is measured by vibrating the test piece. At the time of measurement, the loss tangent (z-axis) changes on the basis of the magnitude of strain (y-axis) and the frequency (x-axis) during the vibration of the test piece. A first loss tangent indicated at the point of state 45 is a loss tangent exhibited by the test piece when vibrated at a first frequency in conjunction with a first strain. A second loss tangent is a loss tangent exhibited by the test piece when vibrated, in conjunction with a second strain, so that a second frequency component is included. The second frequency is higher than the first frequency. The second loss tangent is at least 60 times the first loss tangent.
