Abstract:
A toroidal continuously variable transmission comprising: a loading cam-type pressing device having a first disc and a second disc arranged facing each other in a state in which the axes of rotation thereof are aligned, a power roller tiltably interposed between the first disc and the second disc, a cam plate rotating around the axis of rotation, and a roller unit comprising at least one roller interposed between the cam surface of the second disc and the cam surface of the cam plate; and a cam plate support that supports the rear surface of the cam plate on the opposite side to the cam surface, at the same radial position as the radial position of at least part of the roller unit.
