Abstract:
A touch pad operation detection device (10) comprises a touch position detection unit (12) that detects the touch position of a user on a touch pad (20), a pressing detection unit (11) that detects a pressing operation by the user on the touch pad (20), and, as described below, a speed calculation unit (13), an acceleration calculation unit (14), a determination unit (15), and a control unit (16). The speed calculation unit (13) calculates the speed of the movement of the touch position of the user on the touch pad (20). The acceleration calculation unit (14) calculates the acceleration of the movement of the touch position. The determination unit (15) determines whether to enable or disable the pressing operation on the touch pad (20) on the basis of the speed and acceleration of the movement of the touch position. The control unit (16) disables the pressing operation performed on the touch pad (20) when the determination unit (15) has determined that the pressing operation is to be disabled.
