Abstract:
Provided is a touch panel device in which malfunctioning can be effectively prevented. A touch panel device (100) capable of detecting a touch position comprises a touch panel (1) having a plurality of electrode parts (12a) disposed spaced apart, reference resistors (5) electrically connected to one end of each of the plurality of electrode parts (12a), a reference signal terminal (6) which can be contacted by a human body, a reference signal generating means (7) for supplying an alternating current to the electrode parts (12a) via the reference signal terminal (6) and the human body when the human body has touched the touch panel while also making contact with the reference signal terminal (6), and a detecting means (8) for detecting the touch position on the touch panel (1) on the basis of the change in each of the electrical signal values at each of the reference resistors (5).
