Abstract:
A touch panel device (100) is provided with: a touch panel (2) that includes a resistance film and that outputs voltage generated at a depressed position (P) in the resistance film in a state where current is flowing through the resistance film; a current supply unit (11) that supplies current to the resistance film; and a current switching unit (12) that switches the current value of current to be supplied from the current supply unit (11) to the resistance film, to either a first current value or a second current value which is less than the first current value. The current switching unit (12) comprises resistors (R21, R23), a resistor (R22) connected to an electrode (223), a resistor (R24) connected to an electrode (213), a switching element (SW21) connected in parallel with the resistor (R21), a switching element (SW22) connected in parallel with the resistor (R22), a switching element (SW23) connected in parallel with the resistor (R23), a switching element (SW24) connected in parallel with the resistor (R24), and a switch control unit (132).
