Abstract:
A touch panel (3a) having a translucent layer (6) capable of forming an image from a projecting means, wherein the translucent layer (6) has a fine particle dispersion structure which comprises a transparent matrix and a dispersed phase of fine particles. The translucent layer (6) may comprise a transparent matrix resin and a solid component being incompatible with the matrix resin and having an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 20 $g(m)m, wherein the amount of the solid component may be about 0.01 to about 5 parts by wt relative to 100 parts by wt of the transparent matrix resin. The difference in refractive index between the solid component and the matrix may be about 0.1 to about 2. The translucent layer (6) may comprise, for example, a poly(vinyl acetal) resin and, dispersed therein, white or colored fine particles. The touch panel can form an image of the light from a projector, and is excellent in the accuracy of a touched position and also in the clarity of a display.
