Abstract:
A backup and archiving system by means of tape cassettes is disclosed, which avoids bottlenecks, due to a central working processor, in particular, for backup and archiving processes in the high capacity range. Said backup and archiving system comprises a divided hardware architecture, in which several component computers (6) work without co-interfering.
