Abstract:
A transflective liquid crystal display. Both a black matrix (23) and a spacer (25) are made on a thin-film transistor array substrate (20), and a reflecting layer (26) is disposed on the black matrix (23), such that a reflecting region does not occupy the area of a transmitting region, and compared with an existing transmissive liquid crystal display, the light transmittance of a backlight source (40) can be kept unchanged, and the display brightness is improved by using external ambient light; a liquid crystal cell gap of the reflecting region is controlled by using the thickness of the black matrix (23), and an additional insulating layer is prevented from being made below the reflecting layer (26) to control the liquid crystal cell gap so that the manufacturing process is effectively shortened; the black matrix (23) and the spacer (25) are integrally formed so that the manufacturing process can be further shortened and the production costs are reduced.
