A transmission device of an embodiment is connected to a controller via a system bus. The transmission device has a construction involving: a first transmission control unit that controls transmission through the system bus; and a control unit that places processing using shared resources of the system including the system bus in a pending state instead of executing the processing and executes the pending processing using the shared resources of the system when notified by the controller that the resources having become available.
