Abstract:
In a system that performs communications by means of wireless signals that have a plurality of orbital angular momentum (OAM) propagation modes, the present invention selects and modulates/demodulates at least one OAM propagation mode. According to the present invention, a transmission device (10) has: a modulation unit (11) that, in accordance with the value of bit data to be transmitted, selects at least one orbital angular momentum (OAM) propagation mode from N OAM propagation modes (N being an integer equal to or greater than 2); and a transmission unit (12) that transmits a signal in the OAM propagation mode(s) selected by the modulation unit (11).
