Abstract:
Provided is a transmission (10) capable of reducing an impact and a reduction in the torque of an output shaft at the time of a transmission operation and further reducing an axial dimension thereof. A transmission according to the present invention includes: an input shaft (12) to which rotation of a motor (11) is input; an output shaft (15) that is disposed on an axis different from that of the input shaft; a plurality of power transmission paths that transmit rotation of the input shaft to the output shaft at transmission ratios different from each other; and a synchronization mechanism (17, 72) that reduces the difference between a rotational speed at a drive side and a rotational speed at a driven side by using a friction force. The plurality of power transmission paths include a first path and a second path for transmission stages that are adjacent to each other. The synchronization mechanism is disposed in the first path. The synchronization mechanism is operated to switch between a state in which the torque is transmitted through the first path and a state in which the torque is transmitted through the second path.
