Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle parking mechanism that can be released with little force and that eliminates the need for additional components. In the present invention, a transmission (10) installed in a vehicle is provided with: a plurality of motive power transmission paths that transmit the rotation of an input shaft (12), to which rotation of a motor (11) is inputted, to an output shaft (15) at mutually different transmission ratios; and a shift device (41) that switches the plurality of motive power transmission paths. One of the plurality of motive power transmission paths includes a friction clutch (17). The shift device is provided with a parking mode in which the friction clutch is engaged to form one of the plurality of motive power transmission paths and to form another one of the plurality of motive power transmission paths.
