Abstract:
[Problem] To propose a transmitter, a receiver, a transmission method, and a receiving method which are capable of realizing excellent data transmission even in situations where a connection failure could occur in some transmission path. [Solution] A transmitter provided with: a transmission processing unit for causing a transmission unit to transmit each of a plurality of data, in correlation with any of a plurality of transmission paths, to an external device via the transmission path; a transmission quality information acquisition unit for acquiring transmission quality information indicating the transmission quality of each of the plurality of transmission paths; and a switch for switching the connection relationship between the transmission processing unit and the plurality of transmission paths on the basis of precedence information indicating the weighting of data among the plurality of data and the acquired transmission quality information.
