Abstract:
According to the present invention, cold storage implement that holds a cooling retention material even when the cooling retention material undergoes a state change does not become displaced, and no location at which the cold storage implement is not in contact with a physical object is produced. The present invention thereby provides a transport container and an accommodation method in which the cold storage implement suppresses an influx of heat between the outside and the physical object, and with which it is possible to strictly maintain the temperature of the physical object at a phase transition temperature of the cooling retention material. This transport container comprises a body part that has a bottom-surface part and a side-surface part, and a lid part that is provided so as to be capable of opening and closing an opening in the body part, wherein: the body part and the lid part are elastic; and the volume of the transport container increases to a greater extent when a physical object, in a state of being enclosed by at least one cold storage implement to which there are linked a plurality of cooling retention parts that hold respective cooling retention materials in the interiors thereof, is accommodated in the interior of the transport container than at a time prior to accommodation.
