Abstract:
A travel road surface indication detection device includes a generation means (13, S2) and an indicator detection means (16, S7). The generation means generates a bird's-eye image as seen from a prescribed virtual viewpoint, on the basis of multiple photographic images which have been photographed by multiple cameras (3) that photograph the periphery of a vehicle, and at least a portion of the photographic areas of which do not overlap. The indicator detection means detects road surface indicators from the bird's-eye view image generated by the generation means. For each overlapping portion (41a, 42a), which is a portion where the photographic areas in two or more bird's-eye images overlap each other, the indicator detection means detects indicators in an assigned area which has been assigned to the respective overlapping portion.
