Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a treatment agent for acrylic fibers with which it is possible to improve bundling properties of acrylic fibers for manufacturing carbon fibers in a step for enhancing the flame resistance of the acrylic fibers for manufacturing carbon fibers; acrylic fibers for manufacturing carbon fibers, in which the treatment agent is used; and a method for manufacturing carbon fibers using the treatment agent. A treatment agent for acrylic fibers according to the present invention contains: amino-modified silicone (A); and at least one selected from compounds (B) that have five-member ring structures including sulfur atoms and nitrogen atoms, and derivatives of said compounds (B). Acrylic fibers for manufacturing carbon fibers according to the present invention are obtained by bonding the treatment agent for acrylic fibers according to the present invention to raw-material acrylic fibers of the acrylic fibers for manufacturing carbon fibers.
