Abstract:
The invention is a re-processing method for a treatment tool, the tool comprising: an ultrasound probe 10 whereof the distal end is provided with a blade 11 for applying ultrasonic vibrations to a biological tissue; a sheath 7 wherethrough the ultrasound probe 10 has been inserted; a jaw 8 pivotally supported at the distal end of the sheath 7 so as to be capable of opening-closing relative to the blade 11; and a resin pad 9 mounted on the jaw 8, abutting the blade 11 when the jaw 8 closes against the blade 11. The method includes: a step of pulling out the ultrasound probe 10 from the proximal end of the sheath 7; a step of removing the resin pad 9 from the jaw 8; and, after the step of pulling out the ultrasound probe 10 and the step of removing the resin pad 9, a step of washing the sheath 7 and the jaw 8 pivotally supported at the distal end of the sheath 7.
