Abstract:

A twisted pipe heat exchanger comprises a twisted pipe that has a first pipe on which a helical groove is formed on the outer circumference portion and in which a first fluid flows and a second pipe that has a portion thereof wound into the groove of the first pipe and in which a refrigerant to heat the first fluid flows. The heat exchanger comprises, in a portion of a region that includes a boundary section between a first region and a second region, an insulating material that is wrapped so as to cover the outer circumference portions of the first pipe and the second pipe in the boundary section and the outer circumference portion of the first pipe in the second region when the first region is defined as the region where the first pipe and the second pipe are joined and the second region is defined as the region that is present closer to the end of the first pipe than the first region and in which the first pipe and the second pipe are not joined.
