Abstract:
This two-step transmission for an electric automobile comprises: a planetary gear mechanism 16 disposed coaxially between an input shaft 10 and an output shaft 12; a friction brake 28; and a friction clutch 26. A first speed is implemented by engagement of the friction brake 28, and a one-to-one second speed is implemented by engagement of the friction clutch 26. An electric actuator 30 for switching between the first speed and the second speed comprises an electric control motor 32, a torque–thrust conversion mechanism 36, and a pusher 34. The torque–thrust conversion mechanism 36 is formed from: an inner-side cylindrical screw 40 that is driven to rotate by the control motor 32; and an outer-side cylindrical nut 42 that is screwed onto the cylindrical screw 40 and joined so as to move axially as a single body with the pusher 34. The control motor 32 can comprise an electromagnetic brake for retaining engagement of the friction brake 28 and the friction clutch 26. Axial-direction thrust can also be transmitted by the swinging of an arm 316.
